When I bought my home, I noticed a small moisture issue in the basement but put off addressing it. This winter, after snow, rain, and ice, that small issue turned into a full basement flood, mold and moisture soaked carpet and walls—a problem I had to handle immediately.

After a quick Google search, I called three companies. Champion stood out immediately—while the other two sent me to voicemail, a real person at Champion answered, listened to my concerns, and scheduled an appointment for the next morning at 8:30. Sure enough, Kalob arrived right on time.

Kalob walked me through the basement, explained the entire process, and answered all my questions. To my surprise, he provided an estimate on the spot—no waiting days for a quote. While I waited to hear from the other companies, it became clear who I would choose. Both other contractors arrived late, and one was three times the cost of Champion for the same work.

I hired Champion on the condition they finish before March 7th because that was the due date of our first child. Kalob made it happen, scheduling the job for March 4th-6th.

The crew arrived promptly at 8 a.m. on day one. They carefully protected my home with plastic coverings and even shielded my belongings in the basement—thoughtful touches I didn’t expect. The jackhammers were noisy, but expected considering what they had to do, and by the time I got home on the final day, the project was complete. The basement was spotless, and the final cost matched the original quote.

Since then, we’ve had several heavy storms, and my basement has stayed completely dry—a huge relief after years of stress. My only regret is not calling Champion sooner.
