Chumley Structural & Foundation Repair Description
Chumley Structural & Foundation Repair is a Puyallup, Washington–based contractor specializing in residential and commercial foundation and structural repairs across the Greater Puget Sound region.
Founded in 2011 by Joseph Chumley, the company provides comprehensive diagnostics and long-term corrective solutions for foundation settlement, wall bowing, pier and beam issues, and other structural failures.
Their core services include engineered foundation repair using pier systems and concrete stabilization, structural timber and truss repair, crawl space remediation, and concrete leveling.
Chumley’s offerings extend to basement and crawl space waterproofing, interior perimeter drainage, sump pump installation, vapor barriers, and moisture control to prevent rot and insect intrusion.
They perform targeted repairs such as wall stabilization, wall plate replacement, rot repair, and bolting or bracing of compromised structural members.
For concrete and slab problems they provide slab jacking/leveling and crack repair.
The company also installs seismic retrofits and performs water extraction and remediation following water damage.
Emphasizing a diagnostic-first approach, Chumley works with structural engineers when needed and aims to address underlying causes—poor drainage, construction defects, or soil movement—rather than only treating visible symptoms.
Their service scope covers both small residential jobs and larger commercial projects, and they promote long-term warranties or lifetime commitments on certain repairs.
Chumley markets itself as delivering durable, code-compliant repairs that restore structural integrity and address moisture, insect, and drainage problems to protect property value and safety.

Review 1
Joe and his crew were simply the best. Professional, proactive, flexible, and committed to quality.
We brought Chumley in to rebuild a decaying garage – we knew the job was big, but also, that there was the chance of unknown and unforeseen challenges below the surface which could dramatically change the scope of work. Joe worked with us to come up with a scope of work and a game plan, and worked with us at every step of the project to ensure we had visibility and control over each phase. We are thrilled with the outcome of his work, and could not have had a better experience with Chumley.
Worth mentioning, his crews were consistently pleasant, respectful, knowledgeable, and insanely efficient. We had great experiences with everyone who came by, and if we ever have structural work in the future, Joe will be our first call
Review 2
I hired them to repair a subfloor and crawlspace that had massive damage due to a shower pan failure.
Everything involved was absolutely professional and stress free from excellent communication, expertise, quality work and a price that I considered fair. Joe has also been available to help resolve conflicts with other contractors and help diagnose other problems in my house. They do the job right the first time. Will definitely hire them again
