How we use them: No image on this site is captioned as our own project work, and no person shown is presented as a customer, employee or endorser. Captions describe the general condition being illustrated. Attribution is published voluntarily on /image-credits/ even though the licence does not require it.
The diagrams are different: those are original SVG drawn for this site, not stock, and they are free to reference with a link back. Credits below are published voluntarily, since the Pexels licence does not require attribution. They are plain text by design, naming the photographer and the photo ID without linking out.

Candidates we rejected
Each image was downloaded and opened before it went anywhere near a page. These did not survive that check, recorded so nobody re-adds them:
- Pexels 18482512: Concrete piles under a sea jetty, not a house foundation. Would misrepresent the subject.
- Pexels 37432684: Industrial precast footing forms in a yard. Reads as civil engineering, not residential.
- Pexels 38781391: Roofer applying bitumen on a flat roof, wrong trade entirely, and third-party brand names are legible on the membrane.
- Pexels 9561963: Lichen on tree bark. Not mould on a building material; would be misleading in a crawl space context.
